Dear Vector Contributor,
We wanted to take a moment to update you on a few changes concerning your vector illustration uploads at Pond5.
Due to popular request, we recently released a feature that automatically generates multiple raster ( .jpg) versions of an uploaded vector ( .eps) file to sell alongside it within an item page, as you might have noticed on any of your online vector items.
While warmly received, some artists up to this point have uploaded the same illustration twice -- one in .jpg and one in .eps format -- in two seperate item uploads as a strategy to increase sales. Unfortunately, if you’re one of these artists, this means you now have the same .jpg images sitting in 2 entirely different item IDs, as the new .jpg files attached to the vector now duplicate the original .jpg files you uploaded as a separate item.
Here's an example of what a buyer could see right now:

If this sounds like you, we urge you to please look through your items and take offline any duplicate item IDs that do not contain the .eps file, to clean up duplicates and focus your sales.
On another note, we also wanted to mention new controls for the auto-pricing of these downconverted jpg files, found at the bottom of your account preferences page.
Our recommendation is that you price them at the suggested prices we’ve set for you and click “Submit”, but ultimately, the choice is yours, as always. Thanks, and as always, please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions.
See you on the Site,
The Pond5 Crew
